Merbau Benchtops are an exceptionally stable and durable choice, frequently selected for their deep reddish-brown tones and unique gold-flecked grain. With a Janka hardness of 8.6 kN, Merbau is a heavy-duty hardwood that resists denting and wear. Its natural oil content provides a built-in resistance to moisture and decay, which is a significant advantage in kitchen environments. I ordered custom 50mm thick tassie oak stair treads and winders for a staircase and they came up a treat. WR timbers did a fantastic job with the stair treads, and they also had a prompt turnaround time. Very happy and I would highly recommend them.
