Wormy Chestnut Timber Benchtops

Eucalyptus species

Wormy Chestnut Benchtops are a designer’s favourite for adding "instant history" to a new build. This timber features the natural scars of the Australian bush, including pinhole borers (the "wormy" look), deep gum veins, and fire streaks.

Despite these aesthetic features, the timber remains structurally sound and hard-wearing (Janka 8.1 kN). Each Wormy Chestnut Benchtop will have it's own unique character with sap lines, black markings and pin holes.

I ordered custom 50mm thick tassie oak stair treads and winders for a staircase and they came up a treat. WR timbers did a fantastic job with the stair treads, and they also had a prompt turnaround time. Very happy and I would highly recommend them.
