Eucalyptus obliqua

Messmate Benchtops are a favorite in Australian "Industrial" and "Modern Farmhouse" designs. Part of the Eucalyptus family (Janka 7.1 kN), Messmate features a rich array of natural characteristics, including prominent growth rings and frequent sap streaks (gum veins). These features create a highly textured, organic look that hides everyday wear and tear remarkably well. Its color ranges from pale straws to light browns, offering a neutral yet character-filled palette that pairs perfectly with black or white matte fixtures.

I ordered custom 50mm thick tassie oak stair treads and winders for a staircase and they came up a treat. WR timbers did a fantastic job with the stair treads, and they also had a prompt turnaround time. Very happy and I would highly recommend them.
