Victorian Ash Timber Benchtops

Vic Ash Benchtops (Victorian Ash) are closely related to Tasmanian Oak but are specifically selected for their straight, open grain and light, neutral tones. Vic Ash is a stable, reliable hardwood (Janka 4.5 – 5.5 kN) that is exceptionally easy to kiln-dry, meaning it has very low movement once installed in a kitchen. Its pale color makes it an excellent choice for modern kitchens that require a bright, airy feel without the heavy yellowing often associated with softer pines.

I ordered custom 50mm thick tassie oak stair treads and winders for a staircase and they came up a treat. WR timbers did a fantastic job with the stair treads, and they also had a prompt turnaround time. Very happy and I would highly recommend them.
